  1. It depends on the montoir.You can get CRTs (up to 21 ) for free nowadays, since most people have replaced them with LCDs. They’re practically worthless money wise, but they deliver a great picture (better than LCDs most of the time, actually) and great response times (again, better than LCD). However, their sheer bulk, weight, flickering image, and power consumption defeated them. If you don’t mind the weight, you can get a great one for free. Look on the free section on craigslist.A 19 TN-panel LCD with 1440 900 or 1600 900 resolution will run you around $ 120. A higher quality panel, like IPS, which is fairly close to CRT image quality wise, will run you around $ 240 for a 21 with 1920 1080. Alternatively, at that price, you can get a 27 TN panel.
